The company was sold 30 years later and that owner went out of business in 2002. Staff and family from the original company then established General Publishing Inc. : a new organization with a wider scope and a determination to operate internationally. Its focus has expanded from traditional print publishing to advanced media businesses and technology.

Three generations on, its operations are more aligned to particle physics than to printing presses. 

To prevent any confusion or connection to the failed company, its trademarked name is registered in Canada, USA, UK, France and other countries.
